Solar for your home in Phuket

Lower your electricity bill with a system sized properly for your roof, your family's usage and your budget — installed and supported by a local team you can actually visit.

Is Solar Right For You?

Solar makes most sense when you're home in the daytime

The economics of solar in Thailand are simple: every unit you generate and use yourself saves you the full retail tariff of around ฿4.20. Every unit you export earns far less — ฿2.20 at best, and only under the residential scheme.

So the households that benefit most are the ones using power while the sun is up: families at home during the day, people working from home, and villas running pool pumps, air conditioning or staff during daylight hours.

We'll tell you if solar isn't worth it for you. If you're out all day and your usage is mostly evening, a big array without storage is poor value — and we'd rather say so than sell you one.

Your Options

Three ways to go solar at home

Which one suits you depends on your usage pattern, your budget and how much you care about power cuts.

On-grid (grid-tied)

The most common and most affordable option. Your system works alongside the grid and cuts your daytime consumption. No battery, lowest cost per unit saved, best payback.

Best for: most Phuket households wanting the fastest return.

Hybrid with battery

Stores surplus daytime generation for use in the evening, and can keep essential circuits running during a power cut. Costs more and lengthens payback, but greatly increases how much of your own power you use.

Best for: evening-heavy households and areas with frequent outages.

System upgrade

Already have panels? We can add capacity, replace a failing inverter, add storage to an existing array, or simply find out why your system is underperforming.

Best for: systems installed by companies that are no longer around.

What happens when you get in touch

Initial chat

Send us a recent electricity bill and a photo of your roof. We'll give you a realistic ballpark before anyone visits.

Free site survey

We check roof structure, orientation, shading, your consumer unit and your meter — then design around what we actually find.

Quote & paperwork

A clear written quote with equipment specified by brand and model. If you're exporting, we handle the PEA application.

Install & aftercare

Most home installs take one to three days. We commission the system, show you the monitoring app, and stay contactable.

What's Included

Everything, quoted up front

The most common complaint about solar in Thailand is the surprise extra. Our quotes name the actual equipment and include the work needed to make it run properly.

01

Named equipment

Panel and inverter brand, model and wattage in writing — not "premium tier 1 panels".

02

Mounting suited to your roof

Tile, metal sheet or concrete — with correct waterproofing and fixings rated for coastal wind and salt air.

03

Electrical work and protection

Cabling, isolators, surge and earth protection, and any consumer unit work needed to connect safely.

04

Monitoring and handover

App-based monitoring set up on your phone, plus a walkthrough so you know what normal looks like.

05

Warranty and support

Manufacturer warranties registered in your name, and a workmanship warranty from us.

Common Questions

Home solar questions we get asked

Will solar cover my whole electricity bill?

Almost never, and you should be sceptical of anyone who promises it. Without a battery, solar only offsets what you use while the sun is shining. A well-sized system typically removes 40–60% of a Phuket household's bill; adding storage can push that higher.

Does my roof suit solar?

Most Phuket roofs do. What matters is usable area, structural condition, orientation and shading from trees or neighbouring buildings. South-facing is ideal but east and west both work well here given how strong the sun is. We confirm all of this at the free survey.

What about the rainy season and salt air?

Output falls on heavily overcast days but doesn't stop. We size systems using conservative southern-Thailand yield figures rather than optimistic national averages, so your estimate holds up across the year.

For coastal properties we specify corrosion-resistant mounting hardware — standard fixings degrade quickly in salt air, and it's a common shortcut.

Do I need permission to install solar?

For a self-consumption system the requirements are limited, but if you want to export surplus power you must register with PEA under the household rooftop scheme, which caps at 5 kW AC and carries an application fee. We handle that process for our customers.

How long do panels last?

Panels are designed for 25+ years and typically carry a performance warranty over that period, losing roughly half a percent of output per year. Inverters are the shorter-lived component — expect to plan for a replacement somewhere around year 10 to 15, which we factor into long-term estimates.
