Started in 2020, by two people who wanted to do it properly
TAE 2020 (Thailand) Ltd. was founded in 2020 by Ratthapown Smyth — known to everyone as Sa — and Pakpoom Cumpeeratud, known as Joe. They shared a passion for renewable energy and brought with them over a decade of combined experience in the solar industry.
The company began with small residential installations and grew from there into a provider serving both homes and businesses. Today we operate from an office in Kathu, Phuket, and work with a nationwide network of trusted installation partners.
What hasn't changed is the way we work: honest advice, quality workmanship and long-term customer support. That's the whole business plan, and it's the reason people send their neighbours to us.

Honest advice
We size systems around your actual usage, not around what we'd like to sell. If your consumption is mostly in the evening and a big array without storage would be poor value, we'll tell you solar isn't worth it for you — and we'd rather lose the sale than have you regret the purchase.
Quality workmanship
Equipment named by brand and model in the quote, not "premium tier 1 panels". Coastal-grade fixings that stand up to salt air, proper waterproofing at every roof penetration, and the electrical protection — isolators, surge and earth — that makes a system safe as well as productive.
Long-term support
A solar system is a twenty-five year purchase, so aftercare matters more than the sales pitch. We monitor, service and repair the systems we install — and a good share of our work is servicing systems that other installers walked away from.
Part of a nationwide network of independent installers
TAE Solar is part of a growing network of independent solar installers across Thailand, working together through the Thai Association of Solar Installers (TAIS) to deliver high-quality installations and compete with the large national retailers.
Being independent doesn't have to mean being alone. Working together is how small local firms match the reach of the big names without losing the accountability that comes from being local.

Wherever a project sits in Thailand, the network can put a properly equipped installation team on site — people who know the local conditions, suppliers and utility office.
Shared expertise and technical knowledge

The network maintains common standards across projects, so the quality of the work doesn't depend on which province you happen to be building in.

We are an official agent for Huawei in Thailand, which means genuine equipment, proper warranty registration and direct manufacturer support behind the inverters and storage we install.

Alongside Huawei we work with Deye, LVTopsun, Longi and Jinko, so we can suit different project requirements and budgets rather than fitting the same kit to every roof.
